Life is what you make it ...

 Grace Tosin Akinlua posted:
“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a #universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your #soulmate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a #beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”

IS IT A NEW TREND? (Change of name before Marriage)

I met this couple one day and while we exchanged pleasantries, I remember vividly that both of them shared same surname so I readily assumed they were married. Later on, I came across the man again before the end of the day, this time around, he was alone; and as we were chatting, I asked him, “How’s your wife doing now?” But I must confess he gave me a shocker… “Who?” “Ah… Ah…! But I saw you with somebody today and she introduced herself as Sis. … Both of you bear same surname now? Is she your sister? I asked. But he responded, “She’s not my sister o but I’m in a relationship with her. We are still praying sha… If God says she is the one, may be…”
Hmmm... I had to do some deep thinking: “But she already bears your name… Does she know this is what you’re thinking about her? Does she know she might have to do a “change of name” a second time?” I wished she knew… But is it a new trend, FEMALES CHANGING THEIR SURNAMES (to the man’s) PRIOR TO EXCHANGE OF MARRIAGE VOWS?

MODERN AMERICAN DATING:'ARE YOU IN THIS CULTURAL TRAP ?

AMERICAN DATING:'ARE YOU IN THIS CULTURAL TRAP ? "Modern American dating is no more than glorified divorce practice. Young people are learning how to give themselves away in exclusive, romantic, highly committed (at times sexual) relationships, only to break up and do it all over again. God never intended for His kids to live like this. And instead of stepping in and doing something, many Christian parents simply view these types of relationships as a normal and necessary part of growing up. Unless your child is wiser than Solomon, stronger than Samson, and more godly than David (all of whom sinned sexually), they are susceptible to sexual sin, and these premature relationships serve as open invitations." Voddie Baucham Ministries.(PLEASE SHARE THIS ALL OVER THE WORLD OF FACE BOOK] WORD FROM BROTHER DAVID.1stTim.5:2 is a clear command that young men should treat the sisters in Christ with 'absolute moral and sexual purity'.Your bodies and emotions belong to God ,you are His property by virtue of the shed blood of Jesus. No single person has a right to touch your temple in a carnal sexual way ! When they are out of Sight... The Innocent Children

One sunny afternoon, during the closing hours of primary schools, I sat somewhere in a house, looking through the window when I suddenly heard some noise on the street; when I looked, there were some (junior) primary school pupils, quarreling, on their way back from school. (four of them and all girls) I observed that the three older girls were all against the youngest among them –I suppose she’s about age 5 while others should be 2 or 3 years older. At a point, she was left behind, alone and afraid while the other girls were busy issuing insults threats and all at her. They even threatened to stage a fight for her, involving one of their best fighters! “She will beat you very well; you will see!”, I heard one of them said boastfully. Then suddenly, one of the older girls turned, got close to the little girl and began to make some pronouncements I would rather call CURSES –
“You will never enjoy your life. (What?!) You will lose all your children. When you grow old, you have a child –the child will die. If your husband impregnates you and you give birth again, the child will die. If you have another one, the child will die. All of them will die!” When she turned to go, the little girl only stood there, head bowed for a while before she moved on.
O my God! I felt this strange cold ran down my body, where I was seated –I think I was shocked at what I heard. And to think of who said those devilish words… Who taught her to say such things? I felt so sorry for the poor little girl.
Does she understand? Who is going to report the incident to her parents? Think about your little children, your little sister/brother, do you know what they encounter whenever they are out of your sight? You may never know it all. I only pray that God will help the children and give insight to parents. Isn’t it even worse when such pronouncements come from parents to their own children? It’s a world of bewildering shockers!
